Verizon Wireless Internet
Verizon Wireless is actually the d.b.a. name for Cellco Partnership which owns and operates the largest wireless telecommunications network in the U.S. the provider supplies high speed internet service to its subscribers via a special data plan in conjunction with a cell phone voice plan. You can also purchase a package for a wireless aircard to use in your laptop computer. The great thing is that you can pretty much get it reliably anywhere you normally get a cell phone signal. The downside is its not meant for high upload and download speeds and does not support applications requiring high speeds.

- Average download speeds of 400-700 kbps and up to 2.0 Mbps
- Easy to install and connect
- A separate ISP is not required
- You can pay for 1 service that you take with you
Cons
- Does not support high speed applications for transferring large files
- You may need to purchase a second high speed service for large uploading and downloading
- The aircard for a laptop is pricey
- There can be penalties for using “too much” data
- Not as fast as standard WiFi
- Useless for gaming
- It’s pricey for a service that does not provide high speeds
