I have to pass along my sympathies for anyone still using dial up connections. I have only been lucky enough to not have dial up for just under 2 years and I love it. Not having to wait 30 minutes to an hour to load a game or download a program is wonderful.

If you do get the opportunity to switch to DSL or cable you will not be disappointed.

I'm one of the few dial-up users left in the world, I think.  And I accept your sympathies!  I'm in the market for some high speed.  I need it!  I run several businesses online and HATE waiting.

Yeah I remember dial up... back in the day maybe like 1996 back when we were still using BBS and FTP site for our pleasures.  Took 30 minutes to download a black and white photo of Pamela Anderson.

Here in New Jersey it is almost the only option.  No, it's just my street.  I'm priveledged (yeah right!) to live on a very old street in my town.  There is no DSL and the cable only got put in a couple of years ago.
