Hi,
I am tearing what remains of my hair out with this problem! Basically I have a HTC touch diamond (windows mobile 6.1). I have succesfully managed to use IBM J9 and gpsgate to set it all up for offline browsing - and it works flawlessly. Hard part done - right? wrong! I can download and view any kind of roadmap (google, msn, yahoo). However, I cannot download and view any kind of satellite image (google, yahoo or msn). I know that the tiles are downloaded because I can view the images using windows paint. I have tried downloading the data into different folders and switch the storage path to the relevant folder with its own cache.conf. No luck. Always get the same result. I can view roadmaps but no kind of satellite image is viewable. Sometime i think I see a small 'flash' on the screen as if its about to load - but then nothing appears. I obviously have offline mode and stored maps enabled, and using gmapmaker 0.76 along with the latest mgmaps program. Using this setup all roadmaps work - but no satellite tiles are displayed (zoom levels of the world 0 to 10) This is really bizarre and all help appreciated as i'm going to places where there are no roadmaps - so only satellite images will help me! I also don't think cache.conf is a problem: version=3 tiles_per_file=1 hash_size=97 center=0.000000,0.000000,1,MicrosoftHyb Thanks for your help! - i'm willing to provide step by step details of how i got the GPS to work in windows mobile if anybody wants that working. ___________________ Personal Development Utah County New Homes |
