I'm in the market for a new pc, and no prospect of anything but dial up..... I'm wondering what is the max that I should aim for in a pc.

No gaming, no business.

I'm still on my original 2004.....

Dimension 4600
BIOS: A06 2394 MHz
Memory (RAM): 1.25GB
Operating System: XP Home Edition SP3.0
Operating System Version: 5.1.2600Capacity: 37.21 GB
Used: 13.61 GB Free: 23.63 GB
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.40GHz
Processor Speed: 2.34 GHz

My problems are.... I have to leave a Youtube, for instance, to load for 45 mintutes and then watch it for 2!
I at one time had estimated it took 15 min. per MB to download. But sometimes I do have a better day. Is that my local ISP? They won't tell me.

Will it do me any good to upgrade to a better pc? Even on dial up? Or would I be wasting my money?

Thank you for your advice......jen
